There are plenty of things for you to do as a family at Wellcome Collection. But be aware that most content in our galleries is best suited to ages 14 and up.

Family-friendly exhibitions

Children aged from five to ten can collect a Young Explorer’s Pack, which will take them on a journey through ‘Medicine Man’ and the Reading Room, choosing the most age-appropriate items in our collections.

Please be aware that our collections contain some human remains, objects with sexual content and images of surgical procedures.

Events for young people

If you’re 14 to 19 years old, you can meet new friends, get inspired and develop new skills by taking part in our programme of activities for young people. Many of these, such as the RawMinds projects, happen in the spring or summer holidays.

Eating and drinking

If you’re looking for a family-friendly food break, Wellcome Café offers an informal space on level 0 of the building to enjoy sandwiches, cakes, and hot and cold drinks.

For something more formal, try Wellcome Kitchen, which offers an all-day kids’ menu alongside a tempting menu of snacks and main courses for grown-ups.

Baby changing facilities

We have baby-changing facilities on levels 0, 1 and 2.
