It’s Henry Wellcome’s birthday tomorrow. Sir Henry was born on 21 August 1853 in Almond, Wisconsin in a log cabin. Finding a Neolithic arrowhead near his home began a lifetime interest in collecting things and traditional ways of life, a path which eventually led to Wellcome Collection today.
To celebrate his birthday, we’ll be laying on additional tours of Medicine Man and extra handling sessions with our handling collection from Superhuman all day. If you bring Henry a homemade present or card, we’ll give you a free personal tour of Medicine Man to say thank you (and we’ll be posting and tweeting pictures of the best).
